Profile of Eileen Addly

Eileen was born in Bearsden, near Glasgow, and was always interested in art. After attending art college she worked in many artistic fields before marrying.

Since moving to Inverness she has concentrated on painting based on 'an idea' but also finds that the lovely scenery in the Highlands gives her an opportunity to paint boldly. Using acrylics her paintings, large or small, express a freedom of colour and atmosphere for a vibrant choice of subjects.

Three times having paintings selected for the Highland Open Exhibition, she has held a joint exhibition in the Eden Court Theatre gallery and has exhibited her works at numerous galleries and charity events in the Highlands.

She is a member of the Art Society Inverness.
