Profiles of Artists exhibiting at The Beauly Gallery
Profile of Fiona Gilmour
After completing a foundation course at Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1986, I went on to study textiles at Birmingham Polytechnic and Fine Art at Leicester Polytechnic.
Since completing my studies I have developed my work through periods of experimentation and reflection. During recent years I have focused on interpreting landscape.

My current work is particlarly inspired by the Scottish landscape. Powerful seascapes, skies and the rugged mountain scenery of the West Highlands all leave me with a sense of awe. The influence of light and weather has on changing this landscape is the driving force behind my paintings.
