Profile of Pat Beveridge
Born in Edinburgh in 1953, Pat Beveridge lives in central Fife. She retired from teaching in 2004 to become a full-time artist.
Pat is an accomplished water-colourist and oil painter. In 2002 she started to work also in textiles and mixed media.
Her watercolours are done ‘en plein air’ to achieve a freshness and immediacy that is rarely achieved by working from two-dimensional images – these works are rarely touched back in the studio.

However, her passion is for working in textiles and mixed media which has brought her spectacular success with commendations and a ‘best in show award’ already achieved from her very earliest works. In 2007 she was selected to be a finalist in the Charles Henry Foyle Textile Award and won the workbook prize for the book accompanying her piece.
Pat has a permanent exhibition in her studio at home in Glenrothes and has exhibited regularly throughout Scotland. She exhibits her work in:

Eduardo Allesandro Gallery, Broughty Ferry
