Profile of Suzanne Gyseman

Suzanne Gyseman creates images inspired by myth, the imagination, folklore and dreams. She also finds inspiration in the life forms of the natural world, and approaches her work with a vision of the inter-relatedness of life, extending this beyond the physical dimension.

Graduating in 1980 with a Bsc in Botany she originally intended to work for nature conservation. She has worked in a variety of jobs including nature conservation, botanist, gardener, map analysis, computer control clerk and mother, but continued to draw and write faerie stories in her free time.
